Bicycle tour in Transylvania

1 Day Bucharest – Sibiu
Arrival at the Otopeni airport in Bucharest where you will meet your guide and go to Transylvania.

2 Day Sibiu – Moardas – Mosna
In the morning bicycle tour through Daia and Rosia to Vurpar. In all these three villages you can admire the old Saxon churches and the architecture of the traditional houses. Afterwards you will continue through Ghijasa de Jos, Ghijasa de Sus, Metis, Ravasel to Moardas. The most important sight from this second part of your tour is the fortified church of Moardas. Between Vurpar and Moardas are about 23 km. The last part of today’s tour is through Alma Vii to Mosna. From Moardas to Mosna are about 6 km.

3 Day Mosna – Biertan – Sighisoara
In the morning you will visit the fortified church in Mosna. After you visit the church you will go to Nemsa. Visit of the fortified church. Nemsa was the Saxon Ceramic Centre. Afterwards you will continue through Richis to Biertan. The village of Biertan has one of the biggest fortified churches in Transylvania. Then the trip continues through Saros to Sighisoara.

4 Day Sighisoara – Dumbraveni – Dirlos – Bazna
In the morning, trip to Sighisoara and city tour. You will visit the Clock Tower, the house where Prince Dracula was born and the Church on the Hill. Afterwards you will continue through Dumbraveni, Alma, Darlos to Medias. Stop at the Margaret Church in Medias. Then you continue to Bazna.

5 Day Bazna – Tarnaveni – Cetatea de Balta – Boian – Bazna
In the morning you will visit the fortified church in Bazna. The gothic church with three floors above the choir is a remarkable building representative for the Transylvanian gothic architecture. Then you will pass through Blajel, Tarnaveni, Cetatea de Balta. From Boian you will return to Bazna.

6 Day Bazna – Ocna Sibiului – Sibiel
In the morning, trip through Cistei, Colibi, Secasel, Rosia de Secas, Pauca, Alamor, Mandra to Ocna Sibiului. You will then continue through Sura Mica, Rusciori, Cristian, Orlat, reaching Sibiel, today’s main objective.

7 Day Sibiel - Bucharest
In the morning you will go to Sibiu. City tour with visit of the Big and Small Square, the Liar’s Bridge, and also the Evangelical Cathedral from the historic city. Afterwards we continue south along the Olt Valley. Short stop at the Cozia Monastery. Late in the afternoon arrival at Bucharest. In the evening festive dinner with folklore program at the Pescarus Restaurant.

8 Day Bucharest – Return flight
In the morning city tour in Bucharest with visit of the Patriarchal Church (the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchal residence) the Parliament Palace and also the Village Museum. Then transfer to the airport, fare well from the Romanian guide and return flight.
